Warranty Policy

Standard Warranty

Hebei Haihao Group warrants that all pipe fittings and flanges supplied:

  • Conform to the specification stated on the order (ASTM / ASME / MSS / EN / JIS / GB grade and dimension)
  • Are free from defects in material and workmanship at the time of dispatch
  • Are accompanied by EN 10204 type 3.1 Mill Test Certificate as standard, type 3.2 (third-party witnessed) on request

Warranty period: 12 months from Bill of Lading date.

What Is Covered

  • Wall thickness below specified minimum (per ASTM A234 / B16.9 limits)
  • Chemistry outside specified envelope (per heat analysis on the MTC)
  • Hardness above NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 limits when sour service is specified
  • Dimensional tolerance failures per the relevant standard
  • Surface defects exceeding code acceptance criteria (laminations, deep scratches, weld defects)
  • Missing or incorrect markings

What Is Not Covered

  • Damage during shipping, handling, or installation
  • Misapplication (using a fitting outside its design temperature, pressure, or service)
  • Wear, erosion, or corrosion in service
  • Modifications by buyer or third parties (cutting, re-welding, re-machining)
  • Loss of profits, downtime, or consequential damages

Required evidence checklist

Please attach all of the following — incomplete submissions delay assessment:

  • [ ] Our PO number / proforma invoice number
  • [ ] B/L number and date
  • [ ] MTC heat number stamped on the affected fitting (clear close-up photo)
  • [ ] Photos of the defect (overall + close-up + measuring tape / caliper visible for dimensional issues)
  • [ ] Photos of the heat-number hard-stamp to confirm traceability
  • [ ] Quantity and weight of affected items vs. total received
  • [ ] Independent / third-party inspection report (SGS / BV / TÜV / DNV / Lloyd's), if any
  • [ ] For service-induced failure: installation date, service medium, design temperature & pressure, hours in service
  • [ ] Original packing photos (to assess whether transit damage)

Sample retention

Please retain the defective sample(s) and the protective packaging for at least 90 days from the claim date — we may request shipment of one specimen for independent metallurgical analysis (we cover return freight on confirmed claims).

Limits of Liability

  • Maximum aggregate liability under any claim is limited to the invoice value of the affected goods
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages

Independent Verification

Buyers are encouraged to:

  • Witness production at our plant via SGS / BV / TÜV / DNV / Lloyd's / Intertek (at buyer's cost)
  • Conduct receiving inspection upon arrival; report deviations within 30 days
  • Cross-check MTC heat number against fitting hard-stamp before installation
